Adventure Time was created in 2010 by Pendelton Ward on Cartoon Network. It was based on the 2007 short of the same name, which got picked up and turned into the full length show. The show ran for 8 years, though it continues to have spin offs to this day: Distant Lands & Fionna and Cake.
